West Virginia poised to increase toll roads »

A bill that has completed its trek through the West Virginia statehouse would open up the possibility of more toll roads in the state. It now moves to the governor’s desk for his expected signature. More: continued here

On Tuesday, March 16, along with two U.S. lawmakers, Rep. Paul Tonko, D-NY, and Rep. Erik Paulsen, R-MN, Hope Rivenburg hosted a press conference to build lawmakers’ support for HR2156, known as Jason’s Law bill, aimed at “alleviating the nation’s shortage of rest area parking for long-haul truckers.” More: continued here

Senate clears path for Highway Trust Fund vote »

The U.S. Senate ended debate Monday, March 15, on a bill aimed at creating jobs. Senators are scheduled to vote on the legislation, HR2847, on Wednesday. The bill would shore up the Highway Trust Fund through Dec. 31. More: continued here
