NJ keeps the situation: Garden State will allow rest period idling »

Trucks in New Jersey will be allowed to idle during rest periods after all. Gail Toth, executive director of the New Jersey Motor Truck Association, was informed this week that the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection was extending the idling exemption for rest periods. Freightliner recall »

Freightliner says that by April 23 it hopes to have notified the owners of nearly 9,000 trucks that their vehicles may have a potentially dangerous flaw.
