Hazmat spill leads authorities to close, evacuate NC port

The Port of Morehead City, NC, closed Tuesday, Jan. 12, after a forklift driver reportedly poked a hole in a container with explosives. The Journal of Commerce reported Tuesday that the container had PETN, an explosive allegedly used by a suspected terrorist in a failed attempt to blow up a plane on Christmas Day.
